HICKLEBEE’S BOOK FAIR @ BOOKSIN LIBRARY (COMING THIS DECEMBER!)

Each year, we partner with Hicklebee’s Bookstore on Lincoln Ave to transform our library into a mini bookstore. Students, families, and friends can buy a variety of books and small gifts for kids and adults. Each year we are able to replace well-loved books and add popular new titles to our library, thanks to your generosity. The Book Fair is also a great time to get your summer reading list lined up!

Student Hours

Most classes will have a chance to visit the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled library time. Kids who bring money can shop during their class time or during recess and lunch.

Public Hours

The Book Fair will be open to parents, families, and friends after school each day with special extended hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

Monday, Tuesday: 2:15 – 4:00 PM
Wednesday-Thursday: 2:15 – 5:30 PM
Friday: 2:15 – 3:30 PM

Book Fair Tips

  • Book Fair can be crowded right after school. We have extended hours all week to accommodate you, so plan ahead and avoid lines.

  • Each student will create a wishlist when their class visits the book fair. Ask your child to see their wish list to see which books they like!

  • Donate a book to your child’s classroom! Teachers will also create a “Wishlist” of books they’d like to add to their classroom library. Pick up a book, and donate to help build your teacher’s classroom library for their students!

  • On site after school care programs may be able to bring kids to the Book Fair, if desired. Ask your provider if they will participate, and send money with your child, or stop by on Weds and Thurs when you pick up your child.

  • Gifts and other books not carried at the fair can be purchased or ordered at the Special Order desk. Hicklebee’s carries adult fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and much more!

HELP NEEDED

We need you!! The Book Fair has a lot of open volunteer shifts. Volunteering at Book Fair is fun - the kids are so excited to spend their (or their parents’) money! Help instill the love of books into our community, while helping our library get new books. Sign up in Konstella will open in November!
